WIAW, Happy Halloween
Hey! Happy Halloween! I’m hoping to make it to a big party after work today. Do you have big plans or staying home for trick or treaters?
When I was little, my sister and I would come home from trick or treating and spill our candy out on the floor, carefully sorting it into categories- by brands (m&ms, twix, etc), misc chocolate, misc non chocolate, and then a pile of the ones we didn’t like (usually the smarties and sweet tarts). Did you do this too? I remember eating 4 or 5 candies that night and then just one or two every day after that, saving the rest so my candy would last until almost Thanksgiving. My favorites were the twix and reeses….now I think I’d choose m&ms any day. You?
Okay, on to What I Ate Wednesday
These are my eats from Tuesday….
Breakfast started with a smoothie and coffee. The farmers market still has berries so I snacked on some blackberries and raspberries while the blender did its thing.
An hour or two later, I ate a hb egg and more coffee for second breakfast/snack./strong>
I had a work lunch at an Italian restaurant. The menu wasn’t great, but I got a tuna panini (skipped the bread though) with a salad.
Afternoon snack was a (big) handful of trail mix.
I ate dinner at my parent’s house. I wasn’t that hungry, but I had fish, salad, and an apple. the apple was the best part- perfectly ripe and sweet.
And then, couldn’t resist my parent’s freezer assortment and ate some coconut hazelnut ice cream and peach sorbet. Yum!
The best thing I ate? Def the ice cream. And the apple.
–What’s the best thing you ate yesterday?
–Halloween plans?
–Favorite childhood costume or candy?

October 31, 2012 at 7:00 am (203 days ago)Omg, I would do the same thing! Carefully sort out all of my candy on Halloween night. My brother would get all my Milky Ways, and I would take all his Skittles. Too funny! I miss being a kid :-/ Yummy ice cream! I wish I was gonna be home tonight for the trick-or-treaters but unfortunately I have class till late. My roommate gets to have all the fun handing out candy!

Favorite childhood candy were those candy bracelets. Remember those? You eat them off your wrist while you wear them, and then end up with a food-color-dyed arm. Haha!
Rebecca

October 31, 2012 at 6:02 pm (203 days ago)Yum. I would totally pick the ice cream too. Especially that chocolate coconut bliss. Looks marvelous– I don’t care if it’s only 30 degrees outside! Ice cream is delicious no matter what the season!
My Halloween plans included watching Batman Returns tonight with a group of friends, but sadly no candy is involved.

November 1, 2012 at 1:28 pm (202 days ago)I always preferred the lollies! Especially the strawberry flavoured ones. I’d probably tryto eat it all in one evening and feel incredibly sick. I never had the will power to make it last hehe.

Much like you, I always separated my Halloween candy by type. The sugar stuff was my favorite though.
