WIAW #37

I just signed up for the FoodBuzz Blogger Conference! I’m so excited! Anyone going? Anyone been before? Give me tips…or come hang out with me!

It’s WIAW time! Thanks to Jen, of course.

Okay on to this week’s eats. Truth be told, I’ve felt a bit off this week- mentally and physically- so my appetite has been sort of off too. Weird. For the first time in a while, I didn’t wake up excited and ready for breakfast. It took me 2 hours until I acutally wanted something. My dinner the night before was heavy on the protein, so maybe that was it.

But finally, when my stomach grumbled at 8am- Voila- a smoothie. Amazing combo- mango, pineapple, half a banana, and spinach. Yum.

Lunch was my favorite Chicken Collard Wrap. This worked out well because I was planning to bring a salad, but all the tupperwares were dirty and the collard wraps fit into a ziplock, so problem solved. Wrapped like a buritto, just hadn’t done that yet in the pic btw. This is a terrific combo. Try it sometime.


Around 3, I bought a Kombucha and banana at the grocery store near my office. I’ve been on a total kombucha kick lately.

I got home around 5 and was starving! but I had dinner plans at 8. I meant to just have a snack, but I ended up eating leftover rice…..then leftover salmon….and some baby carrots. Whoops! I was so full afterwards.

I didn’t photograph it, but by the time dinner rolled around, I obviously wasn’t hungry so I just had a little bite from everyone else and a glass of white wine…..and forgot to photograph it all too. Oops. Happens.

And that was Tuesday.

-Do you usually wake up hungry?
- Are you into Kombucha?
-Are you good at just eating a small snack and waiting for dinner even if you’re really hungry?

    That smoothie looks rockin!

    I don’t normally wake up hungry. It usually takes me a while to get ready to eat. Probably because I am running around with my toddler. I am not very much into Kombucha. I am pretty good at eating a small snack and waiting for dinner. Some days I even forget to eat an evening snack…

    You know I have a love for smoothies…. and yours did not disappoint. Cannot wait to try it out!!

    I’ve never had kombucha but I’ve always wanted to try it. I picture it slimy. Is that the case? And I love your inventive salad!

      It’s not slimy at all, but sometimes there are things floating at the bottom. It’s more like a sparkling juice, but stronger. Try it!

    Do you usually wake up hungry? No, it takes me a couple of hours to get hungry, but I also get up at 5 to work out.

    - Are you into Kombucha? Gross. No.

    Conference sounds fun. I really want to go to a blog conference in 2013.
    I am always very hungry after I have my morning coffee.
    Haven’t tried Kombucha.
    I want to just eat the meal…not snack leading up to it and then have to eat a full meal.

    The conference sounds like a great idea.
    I never eat first thing in the a.m. I usually force myself to drink a smoothie before work so I don’t end up hangry at work, although I can usually go hours without a lick of food. Not my Hubby though. He’s like you, eats right away.
    Great idea for the chicken wrap.

    I am not good at waiting! Yesterday while I was waiting for the oven to heat up, I had a bowl of noodles as a snack :)

    Yummy smoothie! I always wake up hungry….maybe that’s why breakfast is one of my favorite meals :)
