Even Though….
My Saturdays have been mellow lately and I’m enjoying them.
This Saturday, even though it was only 6:15am,
Charlie woke me up and wanted to cuddle on the couch. Jared had already left for his training, so it was just the two of us.
Even though I had plenty of time to make a fancy breakfast,
All I wanted was a simple fruit plate.
Even though it took forever to find parking,
Charlie and I had a really nice morning walk in Golden Gate Park.
We stopped at Trader Joes on the way home for early morning shopping.
Even though everything in my cart looks healthy,
I bought some fun, not-so-healthy things too. Can’t wait to make these!
Please tell me you have baking mixes in your cabinets too for easy baking? Scratch is better, of course, but sometimes it’s just a mix-day.
Even though it was barely 11am,
I ate a snack/lunch while reading magazines. I’ve been more into small snack meals every few hours lately.
Rice crackers, coconut oil, and avocado.
Even though it was Saturday at noon and the pool was packed,
I still had a really good swim.
Even though I bought this to bring to work next week,
I ate it today anyways. Coconut vanilla yogurt. With a few other snack/lunch things.
And even though I wasn’t planning to eat another snack until 3pm,
I ate a couple spoonfuls of ice cream and some cocoa krispies anyways.
Even though it was a beautiful day out,
I still crawled back in bed for a glorious two hour nap.
Even though Charlie needs to learn to eat only his dry food,
I still bought him a cookie at the dog bakery. Couldn’t resist.
Even though we had dinner plans (Jared’s cousins are in town),
They had to cancel last-minute and I ate a simple dinner instead.
And even though it’s Saturday night,
Sometimes a cozy night on the couch watching Steve Carrell’s Date Night with my two favorite guys is just what I feel like doing.
I don’t think Jared’s going to like that picture, so let’s hope he doesn’t read this post
