Mini Meals: WIAW #33 August
And just like that, August is practically over and summer 2012 is coming to a close. I really like autumn and all, but I wouldn’t mind if summer stretched out a little bit longer. I’m still in the middle of my staycation though and enjoying every second of sunshine, so no complaints by me.
It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to check out Jenn and all the other fab WIAW posts!
Today’s WIAW is a day of MINI MEALS! Some days, I tend to eat 4 or 5 mini meals scattered every 3 hours or so. Do you do that? Or do you eat 3 big meals?
My day….(this is from Tues)
6:30AM- I woke up hungry and craving veggies, so made a green smoothie (kale, banana, cherries/blueberries).
7:30AM- SWIM! Then short dog walk (with still wet hair)
9:30AM- Coffee and a greek yogurt mixed with unsweetened cocoa powder (whcih doesn’t really have any taste, but I still put it in sometimes). I ate this in bed while reading a book. Ahh, love staycations.
What’s on your nightstand?
12:30PM Lunch #1. Ezekiel toast with earth balance, avocado and salt. A sparkling water.
3:30PM- Lunch #2. Rice cracker with almond butter and jelly. An orange.
7PM: Dinner. Salmon, brussel sprouts, and a salad.
A handful of chocolate chips to end the night…….And that’s it!

August 28, 2012 at 10:24 pm (265 days ago)I eat at least three times a day but usually five or six when you factor in snacks. Glad to hear your staycation is going smoothly. Hopefully you are able to recharge your batteries.
On my night stand is my Kindle (I’m on the third 50 shades of grey book) and my iPad.

August 31, 2012 at 7:04 pm (262 days ago)I do prefer reading on the Kindle. It’s smaller and more like a book (size wise). I foolishly resisted the Kindle for years, but someone got it for me as a gift, and now I love it.

Theres a picture frame, vase & sudoku book on my night stand.
I”ll usually eat 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day.
I had a smoothie for dinner since my mouth has still be in pain from dental work.

My nightstand is a hodgepodge of vitamins (that I keep forgetting to take), alarm clock and my glasses. It’s completely littered with stuff!

(sitting at work and taking a break right now).
Me for my part, I am a 5-6 meals eater quite naturally. I just feel bloated and stuffed all day if I go for bigger meals and eating small meals, I simply get hungry more often. I tried the 3 meals a day thing for convenience, but thats just not for me.
btw – Your green smoothie rocks.

I eat 5-6 times per day, sometimes more, I don’t like having big meals!

Alarm clock, hand lotion, book.
And I usually eat the 5 mini meals.

August 29, 2012 at 6:49 pm (264 days ago)I love starting my day with a green smoothie with fresh farmer’s market kale! I don’t always shave the time, so it is a bit of a weekend treat. This weekend, I am going camping, which I LOVE to do in the summer!
