Life Lately….July Edition

Hey! I feel better and less stressed/blue after my Trade Em Up Tuesday post. For one thing, I checked off most of my to-do list so my stress levels are down a bit. And yes, acknowledging I need to exercise more was a great realization. I do think that will help most of my stress issues. Now to figure out when to fit it in…

Things have been a little all over the place and mostly work related, but thought I’d tell you a little bit about LIFE LATELY

So here we go….

Lately, I’ve been eating a lot of brightly colored, yummy meals.

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of random work errands to places like Target and Costco (mostly for event supplies).

What I got (snacks for the volunteers)

Lately, I’ve been eating lunch at my desk.

Lately, Charlie has been spending a few days at my office. Mostly, he just plays with his toys and sleeps under my desk.

I like it when he’s here and feel so lucky to be able to bring him occasionally.

Lately, a lot of my time at work is spent doing event set-up or prep. Yay for not sitting at my desk constantly!

Lately, I’ve been reading a lot. I just started Cutting for Stone, but I’ve been going through books fast and am loving any free time to crawl into bed or the cozy couch and read.

Lately, I’ve been house-sitting. Will be back there later this week. Yay for some pool time! Wish it was for longer stints of time.

Lately, I’ve been reading my horoscope before I even get out of bed. I read them as if they’ll give me some sort of insight into how my day will go….and then I usually read Jared’s out loud to him too, ha! I’m a Virgo, you?

Lately, I spend a lot of time trying to figure out what foods I’m allergic to so I can prevent so many random stomach aches.

Lately, I dream a lot about this house we saw and loved (too expensive to buy yet) and how I can make enough money to buy it. Also about how I can eventually work from home more often….

And lastly-

Lately, I’ve been eating a lot of Kale and trying to eat more protein. Hence, a typical dinner- yum!

So even though things haven’t been too exciting, sometimes the simple life stuff- like yummy meals and reading books- is just what I need!

– Who works from home? What do you do? Do you like it or get lonely?
– Do you read your horoscope everyday?
– What’s things are typical in your life lately?

I have been trying to figure out my tummy troubles too. I love that you house sit. That was one of the best gigs I had for sure! Work has been consuming lately so that has been my typical. Glad you feel better after the trade em up post!

Target and Costco. Two of the happiest places on earth. I LOVE that you get to bring Charlie to work! I sooo wish I could do that. It would make me so happy.
I don’t work at home often, but I love it when I do…I feel like I get so much accomplished. That will be changing soo though with our move…no more work for me for a while. Its gonna be a big change!! :)

Nice to have your dog working with you, Charlie is adorable! I loved Cutting for Stone. And, you are right, your meals are very colorful (and look so tasty!). I have not read my horoscope in a while (I’m Sag) but I’ve definitely gone in spurts of doing that. It’s fun!

do you work from home? I’ve always thought that would be neat. it would allow some flexibility, but I can see how it would get lonely and hard to separate work from home life. lately I’ve been studying a lot of statistics hoping that I pass the course! and doing a lot of training for my upcoming triathlon

I only work from home once a week (or less). I’m actually way more productive when I’m not sitting at my same desk every single day, so I love the flexibility and wish it was more

I think I would have a hard time working from home… not enough structure for me! Also, I’m a taurus and read my horoscope before getting out of bed too! Even if it isn’t true, it’s still fun to read. :)

I love working from home when I have lots to do, but if I’m not so hectic it can get a bit lonely. Nice to have the option.

I’d love to take my dog to work! I bet it helps relieve stress!

I know!! I was so happy to see them there. So far, I only saw the variety pack…but guessing an all-honey-grahams can be found at a costco somewhere

Stress has been a huge part of my life lately and I hate it. I am eating more than I need to and wine is my best friend. I am in class all weekend so no typical days here but I am counting down the days until next weekend when I will be doing my frist tri of the summer! It’s good to know I’m not the only one who goes through phases of stress, and I agree that exercise (and yoga) always helo me out! I wish I had a Charlie hanging out under my desk to cheer me up : )
