Cracker Jacks: WIAW

It’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday! Visit Jenn at Peas and Crayons

This will actually be from what I ate on Saturday (which seems like ages ago by now!).

So far my weekday eats this week are pretty good too (aka finishing these muffins for breakfast, these enchiladas for dinners, almonds for snacks, and salads or sweet potatoes for lunches.

So back to Saturday…

Long walk with the dog, followed by breakfast-another fabulous green smoothie (spinach, pineapple, half of a banana and blueberries)

Plus two-ish cups of coffee with almond milk, of course.

The morning was spent at the park with a few friends, enjoying the ridiculously nice weather.

Lunch when I got home…a mishmash of whatever was in my fridge (Saturdays tend to be my “not much food in the fridge” days). My plate was full of a couple brussel sprouts, steamed kale, orange pepper, fennel (still working through my superfoods list!), tofu and avocado. It was a random mix, but it worked.

An apple for dessert (we all know what that looks like).

And then I went to the baseball game. Dinner was early (5pm) at a tailgate party. A garden burger patty, salad, and beans. Not great, but not terrible either.

And then, because it was the baseball game and all….a box of cracker jacks! So good!

And for full what-I-ate-journaling, I met up with a friend after the game and had a half glass of wine. yum. But no pic.

    I could not agree more about your Cracker Jack choice… they are fantastic! When I go to ball games I always get those and soft serve ice cream! Vanilla only though with chocolate sprinkles :)

      Omg I love ballpark soft serve! When I was a kid, I would get that every single time I went to a game, so good!!

    I haven’t been a ball game in so long! But whenever I went, I would sneak in my own snacks hehe. ;)

      I paid $5 for a tiny bottle of water..so sneaking in snacks makes so much more sense!

    I’m a popcorn and beer kind of girl at the ballpark. I usually do my groceries Saturday afternoon, as that’s when I typically run out of food.

    Ball park food is so good! I feel like you always have to get a beer and hotdog (or veggie dog)!

    That’s the healthiest tailgate plate I’ve seen. Tailgating in WI consists of beer and brats!
    Saturday is usually my grocery shopping day – I do meal planning first thing in the AM, farmers market, then the grocery store so Sunday can be a cooking and baking day!

    Baseball game for me includes peanuts for sure. I do my grocery shopping on Tuesdays which I know is unusual, but that’s the way it works into my schedule.

    veggie burgers are delicious, especially grilled!
    I always go grocery shopping on the weekend and load up for a week’s worth of meals.

    Saturday’s are my “no food in the fridge” days too… Usually I try to go food shopping Sundays to stock up for the week!

    I love the big sausages with garlic fries. Not the healthist but I don’t do it every day.

    Love cracker jacks but my favorite ball park snack is by far a hot dog. There’s just something about eating it at a game that makes it taste better.

    Beautiful smoothie! But how did it remain green? Whenever I add blueberries or blackberries to my smoothies it automatically turns at least somewhat bluish or purplish….

      Mine used to do that too, but now I add much more spinach (sort of a lot…but it’s frozen so I’m not sure exactly how much) and that makes it stay green.

    I’m a huge sucker for ballpark nachos with extra jalapenos. Mmmm – now I’m craving them! I haven’t been to a ball game in a couple of years, so it’s about time for some nachos.

    We are having a clean out the fridge random dinner tonight. :)

    I havent been to a ballgame in ages! I used to love getting really big sandwhiches at ball games. Not a typical ballgame food, but still tasty! Your breakfast smoothie is the perfect shade of green!
